Goodbye, my friend, goodbye (1925) – Есенин (Sergei Yesenin)

English Translation:

Goodbye, my friend, goodbye
My love, you are in my heart.
It was preordained we should part
And be reunited by and by.
Goodbye: no handshake to endure.
Let’s have no sadness — furrowed brow.
There’s nothing new in dying now
Though living is no newer.

Português:

Até logo, até logo, companheiro,
guardo-te no meu peito e te asseguro:
o nosso afastamento passageiro
é sinal de um encontro no futuro.
Adeus, amigo, sem mãos nem palavras.
Não faças um sobrolho pensativo.
Se morrer, nesta vida, não é novo,
Tampouco há novidade em estar vivo.

Many ways to look at a grave

1) A Dark chest of wonders buried secretly

2) An empty chamber awaiting the arrival of its owner. (The lowering of the coffin)

3) Peacefull nest. Reserved for those who’ve suffered in life.

4) Capital punishment for whom deserve.

5) Grave where days are endless.

6) Lifeless bed.

7) Epitaphs that glorify the dead.
